Full job description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Traveling Lineman to join our dynamic team. This position can be either hourly or production pay. This role offers the exciting opportunity to work on several long-term projects across various locations. If you are passionate about fiber optics and enjoy traveling, this position is perfect for you!

Pay Structure:

· Competitive salary Wage: Depending on experience

· Overtime available

· Medical/Dental/Vision/Supplemental – Eligible after 90 days of employment

· 401k up to 3.5% match - Eligible after 6 months

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Fiber Optic Lineman.

  • Strong knowledge of fiber optic equipment and installation techniques.

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering plans and specifications.

  • Physical ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.

  • Strong rigging skills for handling materials safely.

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States

  • Possess a valid Driver’s License (No DUI)

  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.

  • Must be able to work occasional night shifts.

General Duties but not limited to:

  • Install, repair, and maintain fiber optic cables in both aerial and underground settings.

  • Climb poles to perform cabling work.

  • Operate bucket trucks.

  • Hang strand, lash and relash fiber, place risers, place pole anchors.

  • Adhere to safety standards and company policies at all times.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues with fiber optic installations.

  • Collaborate with team members and report progress to project managers.

  • Must be able to lift 50-80 lbs

  • Able to set work zones up properly, use PPE, follow safe work practices, policies and procedures set for by our company.
